Lake Isabella's campgrounds are in the Sequoia National Forest. The campgrounds operate under a concessionaire program with California Land Management. Most of the campsites can be reserved. All of the campgrounds around the lake have flush toilets, showers, fishing cleaning facilities, and other amenities.

A number of group campgrounds are located by the lake. Several campgrounds located in the surrounding Sequoia National Forest are within easy driving distance of Lake Isabella. There is also a variety of RV Parks nearby.
