Lake Havasu Boating Regulations
Lake Havasu has no size restrictions on boats nor any speed limit in the open water. Jurisdiction over the lake is shared by California and Arizona agencies. Mesquite Bay 1 and 2 in Lake Havasu City are closed to all watercraft entry. Entering the Bridgewater Channel is a "no wake" zone.
Boating on Havasu National Wildlife Refuge waters is extremely popular, but can become dangerous. Water skiing or similar recreational towing is permitted between sunrise and sunset only on designated portions of the Colorado River. Boat mooring is not permitted on Havasu National Wildlife Refuge.
