Camping around Big Bear Lake
Big Bear Lake draws a lot of visitors from the greater Los Angeles area. The town of Big Bear Lake is located on the southern side of the lake and the entire southern shoreline is fairly developed. The northern shore has more open space, picnic areas and camping.
The only lakeside National Forest campgroundat Big Bear Lake
is Serrano Campground on the north shore. Reservations can be made for
Serrano Campground. Several other family campgrounds are nearby, along
with a good number of group campgrounds.
