Shasta Lake National Forest Campgrounds around Lake Shasta offer a wide range of facilities. We have divided them into four groups:

Nearby Whiskeytown Recreation Area has additional campsites as does Castle Crags State Park. Included among the Shasta Lake campgrounds are several Group Campgrounds. An ample number of private campgrounds and RV parks are available around the lake and in nearby communities.

At some campgrounds, such as Ellery Creek boats can be moored along the shore close to your camp site. Other designated boat-in camping areas are simply dispersed camping sites with no permanent facilities.

Sacramento River Campgrounds

Antlers Campground

Location: Upper Sacramento Arm on a bluff above Shasta Lake
Amenities: Oak and pine forest, parking spur (up to approx. 30' trailer), table, bear box, fire ring
