Fishing at Don Pedro Lake
The waters of Don Pedro Lake hold both king salmon and kokanee along with rainbow and brown trout. Bass fishermen will find both largemouth and smallmouth bass. There is a 12-inch minimum length for bass. Catfish, bluegill, and crappie are also pulled from the lake by anglers.
Where to Fish on Don Pedro Lake
The Fleming Meadows area is among the most popular fishing spots on the lake. Trollers like to work the area among several of the points there. Other productive locations are the narrows between Middle Bay and Upper Bay and then again from Upper Bay to Woods Creek. Anglers report lots of action in the water off Jenkins Point.
Bass fishermen have the best luck in the coves, searching for the natural cover where bass like to hide. Moccasin Point is another hot spot in the lake as well us up the Moccasin Creek arm where some big bass have been caught. The face of the dam has produced some big rainbows. Graveyard Bay is ranked among the better fishing spots on the lake.
