Getting to Lake Almanor
From Redding or Red Bluff the best route to Lake Almanor is via Highway 36 out of Red Bluff. Highway 44 leads through Lassen National Park and is slow and windy.
From Chico, Oroville or Sacramento, the best route to Lake Almanor is via Highway 32 out of Chico. Other roads are slower.
From the Reno area take Highway 395 to Susanville and then Highway 36 west to Lake Almanor.
